Very predictable result in Buenos Aires where fifth ranked Obras (5-3) smashed 19th ranked La Union (1-8) 82-59 on Thursday. They outrebounded La Union 32-14 including 23 on the defensive glass. Swingman Lautaro Barrios (195-2004) fired 18 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Chilean point guard Felipe Inyaco (192-2002) chipped in 11 points. Four Obras players scored in double figures. Obras' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Jose Campoya (195-2002) produced 17 points and 4 assists and point guard Agustin Sigel (165-2002) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Obras moved-up to third place, which they share with Atenas and Gimnasia. La Union lost third consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with eight games lost. Obras will meet at home Regatas (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. La Union will play against Argentino (#8) in Junin and hope to win that game.
