Important game to mention about took place in La Rioja. Eighteenth ranked Riachuelo LR (2-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 16th ranked Ferro (2-6) 63-61 on Saturday evening. Riachuelo LR made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Ferro turnovers. The winners were led by forward Lautaro Velazquez (201-2002) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Mateo Corso (185-2003) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) by guard Camilo Rodriguez (187-2006) did not help to save the game for Ferro. Forward Andres Fernandez (199-2002) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Riachuelo LR moved-up to fifteenth place. Ferro at the other side dropped to the eighteenth position with six games lost. Riachuelo LR will play against league's leader Instituto in Cordoba in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ferro will play on the road against Comunicaciones (#16) in Mercedes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
