No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked San Salvador (15-5) beat 8th ranked Santiagueno (6-14) in Usultan 112-107 on Tuesday. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) notched a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Dominican Jonatan Bello (-2001) supported him with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 46 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists by Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-1987, college: App State) did not help to save the game for Santiagueno. American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) added 11 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Salvador have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-5 record, which they share with Metapan. Santiagueno at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Nejapa.
