Regular Season Round 11: Morovis - Carolina 63-60

The most exciting game of round 11 in the BSNF took place in Morovis. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of their close opponent Gigantes (5-6) to fifth ranked Montaneras (4-7) 63-60 on Thursday evening. Montaneras made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Forward Jasmine Walker (190-1998, college: Alabama) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Point guard Charity Harris (163, college: Bluefield St.) answered with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Gigantes. Despite that victory Montaneras went down to sixth position due to points difference. Defending champion Gigantes dropped to the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Santurce. Montaneras are looking forward to face league's leader Atenienses in Manati in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gigantes will have a break next round.
