An interesting game for Santa Tecla (16-4) which played road game in San Miguel against one of their biggest challengers Aguila (16-4). Second ranked Santa Tecla managed to get a 7-point victory 79-72. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Santa Tecla outrebounded Aguila 58-43 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Christopher Blake (195-1988, college: Detroit) notched 26 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and center Carlos Arias (200-1989) supported him with 13 points and 19 rebounds. Four Santa Tecla players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 4 assists by American point guard Marquise Mosley (175-1997, college: Biola, CA) did not help to save the game for Aguila. His fellow American import forward Brenden Van Dyke (203-1998, college: Emporia St.) added 19 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Santa Tecla have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Quezaltepeque and Aguila.
