Very important is a home loss of third ranked Amazonas (4-5) against fifth ranked Felinas (3-7) on Sunday night. Host Amazonas were defeated by Felinas in a tough game in Cocle 63-68. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Felinas made 7 blocks. Tayina Ellis (182-1984) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Costa Rican point guard Maria Alfaro (163-1998) accounted for 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Five Felinas players scored in double figures. Colombian center Libia De la Rosa (185-1992) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds and Colombian Juliana Jimenez (-2000) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Amazonas in the defeat.
