There was no surprise when 10th ranked Catamarca (1-4) lost at home to fifth ranked Cordoba (4-1) 54-41 on Sunday. The winners were led by the former international swingman Agustina Garcia (173-1996, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 19 points (made all of her seven free throws) and the former international forward Julieta Armesto (179-1994) supported her with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 8 points by Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-1986) did not help to save the game for Catamarca. Bolivian Romina Moreira (-1999) added 7 points for lost side. Catamarca's coach Jose Collantes rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cordoba have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Quimsa. Catamarca at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Union Florida. Cordoba will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Catamarca will play against La Banda (#7) and hope to win that game.
