Important game to mention about took place in Morovis. Fourth ranked Montaneras (6-7) saved a 3-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Moca (9-6) 77-74 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Moca. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Jasmine Walker (190-1998, college: Alabama) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alexis Jennings (190-1996, college: S.Carolina) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 20 rebounds and guard Roxy Barahman (173-1998, college: Yale) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Moca. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Montaneras maintains fourth place with 6-7 record. Moca at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Montaneras will play against Gigantes (#5) in Carolina in the next round. Moca will play on the road against Gigantes in Carolina and hopes to get back on the winning track.
