Semi-Finals Game 3: Caribenas - Capitalinas 77-71

Caribenas topped Capitalinas to complete the sweep of the semifinal series. Caribenas shot 25 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Capitalinas only scored nine points from the stripe. Caribenas forced 21 Capitalinas turnovers. Strangely Capitalinas outrebounded Caribenas 56-38 including 20 on the offensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Capitalinas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international guard Waleska Perez (180-1994, college: Weatherford JC) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Genesis Rivera (180-1996, college: UMass) helped adding 26 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international center Yolimar Martinez (184-1995) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds and the former international forward Cynthia Polanco (180-1985) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Capitalinas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
