There was a small surprise in Olavarria where twelfth ranked Rocamora (3-5) defeated bottom-ranked Ferro Carril (2-5) 49-42 on Sunday. Rocamora made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Point guard Antonella Gonzalez (155-1990) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Delfina Cergneux (186-2005) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Julia Fernandez (185-2004) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Pilar Carra scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rocamora moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Union Florida and Ameghino. Ferro Carril lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Riachuelo LR. Rocamora will meet at home Union Florida (#10) in the next round. Ferro Carril will play against Pacifico and hope to secure a win.
