There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 7th ranked Union Florida (3-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Berazategui (5-5) 61-54 on Tuesday. The former international center Florencia Fernandez (189-1986) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Guillermina Coz (178-1989) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Berazategui players scored in double figures. Berazategui's coach Gonzalo Gomez used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Camila Saravia (171-1998) with 15 points and Myriam Alonso scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 5-5 record. Union Florida at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Rocamora and Ameghino. Berazategui will meet at home higher ranked Pacifico (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Union Florida will play against Rocamora (#8) in Concepcion de Urug. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
