Gigantes outrebounded Atenienses 42-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. American guard Adrienne Godbold (180-1991, college: Illinois) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Sabrina Haines (178-1997, college: Kentucky) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Godbold is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. American guard Linnae Harper (175-1995, college: Ohio St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Kaela Hilaire (157-1998, college: Stony Brook) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Atenienses' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
