Caribenas nipped Cayenas to grab 2-1 advantage in the championship series. It was a great evening for the former international guard Waleska Perez (180-1994, college: Weatherford JC) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Genesis Rivera (180-1996, college: UMass) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Four Caribenas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Ivaney Marquez (181-1983, college: Grayson County) with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international Yosimar Corrales (184-1990) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds.
