Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Olimpico (4-8) was outscored by eighth ranked Atenas (7-5) in La Banda 89-66 on Wednesday. Atenas made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Ecuadorian guard Erick Mecias (184-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Maximo Lomello (202-2005) supported him with 19 points (made all of his seven free throws). Five Atenas players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by guard Leon Luna (185-2002) did not help to save the game for Olimpico.
