No shocking result in a game in La Rioja where seventh ranked Quimsa (12-6) smashed 16th ranked Riachuelo LR (5-10) 100-81 on Friday. Quimsa made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Justin Jackson (203-1990, college: Cincinnati) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Mariano Fierro (200-1986) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimsa moved-up to sixth place. Loser Riachuelo LR keeps the sixteenth position with ten games lost. Quimsa will meet at home Union SF (#19) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Riachuelo LR will play against Union SF and hope to secure a win.
