Very predictable result when sixth ranked Independ.O. (11-6) won against 11th ranked Ferro (9-12) in Buenos Aires 70-64 on Saturday. Forward Matias Bernan (196-2001) nailed 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Nicolas Marcucci (190-2002) accounted for 20 points. Alejandro Piccart came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Camilo Rodriguez (187-2006) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ferro in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Independ.O. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Penarol. Ferro lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with La Union. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro will play again against Independ.O. (#4) in Olivia and hope to secure a win.
