Basketball Champions League Americas
Regular Season Round 7: Quimsa - Bigua 88-67
Date: February 4, 2023
An interesting game for Argentinian Quimsa (5-1) which hosted in Santiado del Estero 3rd placed Uruguayan Bigua (1-5). First ranked Quimsa had an easy win 88-67. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Franco Baralle (185-1999) who led the winners and scored 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Brazilian center Luis Santos (194-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and forward Martin Rojas (195-1998) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Bigua in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quimsa maintains first place with 5-1 record. Defending Uruguayan champion Bigua keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Obras. Quimsa will meet at home league's second-placed Minas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bigua will have a break next round.
