Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Argentino (7-17) lost to eighth ranked Olimpico (14-7) in Junin 81-93 on Monday. Olimpico made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Elyjah Clark (190-1998, college: MSSU) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Patricio Tabarez (195-1991) accounted for 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Naturalized American Johnatan Slider (192-1987) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Cuban power forward Marlon Diaz (200-1998, agency: Pro Sports) added 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Argentino in the defeat. Five Olimpico and four Argentino players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpico moved-up to fifth place. Argentino lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Olimpico will meet Platense (#8) in the next round. Argentino will play against Atenas (#20) and hope to secure a win.
