LDD top team - Obera (20-3) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed seventeenth ranked Olimpico (7-16) in La Banda 81-50. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpico's 30. Obera forced 19 Olimpico turnovers and outrebounded them 33-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Olimpico's players. The winners were led by power forward Kelvin Ramirez (204-2003) who scored that evening 13 points and 8 rebounds and Nicolas Quiroga (191-2003) supported him with 15 points. Four Obera players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by guard Ignacio Gonzalez (187-2003) did not help to save the game for Olimpico. Salvador Japaze (-2005) added 11 points for the hosts. Olimpico's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Obera maintains first position with 20-3 record. Loser Olimpico keeps the seventeenth place with 16 games lost. Obera will meet Quimsa (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olimpico will play against Gimnasia CR (#3) and hope to secure a win.
