A very close game took place in Santa Tecla between UCA and Teclenas. Third ranked UCA (9-4) got a very close victory on the road over 4th ranked Teclenas (6-6). UCA managed to escape with a 2-point win 48-46 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was center Norma Duran (170-1997) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Karla Barquero (172-2005) chipped in 4 points and 13 rebounds. Center Kryssia Urias (185-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds and Andrea Molina (164-2001) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. UCA have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader Santa Tecla Elite. Loser Teclenas dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. UCA will meet at home Sivar (#4) in the next round. Teclenas will play against Opico and hope to secure a win.
