Regular Season Round 14: Castro - Espanol T. 95-69
Date: March 5, 2023
Rather expected game when 11th ranked Espanol T. (4-6) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Castro (6-6) 95-69 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Ecuadorian center Bryan Carabali (212-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. American swingman Sean Lloyd (196-1996, college: SIU) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Castro players scored in double figures. American forward Davon Haynes (203-1991, college: UAPB) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian forward Kaleb Vaughn (198, college: Lake Erie) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Castro moved-up to eighth place. Loser Espanol T. keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Castro will meet league's second-placed Ancud on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Espanol T. will have a break next round.
