Regular Season Round 14: Temuco - Los Leones 68-101

LNB top team - Los Leones (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Temuco (1-12) 101-68. Los Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Temuco's 24. Los Leones forced 20 Temuco turnovers and outrebounded them 47-24 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Markus Kennedy (206-1991, college: SMU) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and DR Congolese-Canadian forward Eric Kibi (198-1990, college: ACU) chipped in 13 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. Guard Pablo Campos (-2000) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Brazilian power forward Diego Dias Silva (207-1990) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Los Leones have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Temuco at the other side stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Los Leones are looking forward to face Catolica (#12) in Santiago in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Temuco will play on the road against Valdivia and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
