Very significant was Salvadorenas 2's (#3, 4-3) victory against one of their biggest challengers LMMR 2 (2-5) 66-57. Salvadorenas 2 forced 23 LMMR 2 turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban Leanet Gutierrez who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and center Silvia Vega (176-2003) who added 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Salvadorenas 2's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican swingman Yadira Polanco (177-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and forward Yenniffer Pena (180) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Salvadorenas 2 maintains third position with 4-3 record having just one point less than leader Santa Tecla 2. LMMR 2 at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Salvadorenas 2 are looking forward to face league's leader Santa Tecla 2 at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. LMMR 2 will play against the league's leader Santa Tecla 2 and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
