No shocking result in a game in Mar del Plata where eighth ranked Penarol (18-11) smashed 13th ranked La Union (13-18) 103-84 on Sunday. Penarol dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to La Union's 28 and made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded La Union 37-22 including 31 on the defensive glass. Penarol looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) who added 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Penarol's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Matias Pikaluk (185-2006) responded with 29 points and 5 assists and Facundo Drobec scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four La Union players scored in double figures. Penarol moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Regatas. La Union lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo.
