An interesting game took place in Mar del Plata where higher ranked Penarol (17-15) was upset on its own court by thirteenth ranked La Union (16-17) 79-72. La Union made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Ivan Basualdo (203-1990) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American guard Michael Henry (196-1995, college: Buffalo St.) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. La Union's coach Sebastian Ginobili allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Pablo Alderete (203-1993) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-1986, college: Tulsa, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points respectively for Penarol in the defeat. La Union moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Independ.O. and Riachuelo LR. Penarol lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
