An exciting game was played in . Second ranked Dragons faced 3rd placed Leona. Host Dragons (5-4) defeated guests from (3-5) 100-92. Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Leona's players. It was a good game for American point guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-1992, college: Richmond) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Taylor Brown (170-1993, college: GMU) contributed with 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Worth to mention Puthoff-King played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. American forward Aaliyah Rice (175-1997, college: Montevallo, agency: Domantay Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and Odalmis Diaz added 25 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Leona. Five Dragons and four Leona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragons maintains second place with 5-4 record having just three points less than leader Santiago. Leona lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with five games lost. Dragons will play against league's leader Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leona will play against Panteras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
