The game between second ranked Los Leones (16-3) and fifth ranked Las Animas (13-8) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Los Leones were defeated by Las Animas in a tough game in Valdivia 82-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Los Leones. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Shawn Glover (201-1990, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Markus Kennedy (206-1991, college: SMU) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Tyrone Lee (203-1990, college: GVSU) added 16 points in the effort for Los Leones. Five Los Leones players scored in double figures. Las Animas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 13-8 record. Los Leones at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Las Animas are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Temuco (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Los Leones will play against Puerto Varas (#9) and are hoping to win this game.
