There was an upset when higher ranked Obras (19-14) was edged by thirteenth ranked Boca Jrs (15-17) in Buenos Aires 82-81 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Santino Romegialli (204-2003) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Center Nicolas Burgos (207-2003) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Boca Jrs' coach Juan Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Victor Perez (187-2005) came up with 24 points and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and swingman Lautaro Barrios (195-2004) added 27 points respectively for Obras in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boca Jrs moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Obras dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. Boca Jrs will meet Olimpico (#19) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Obras will play against Quimsa (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
