The game between third ranked Salvadorenas 2 (5-6) and fourth ranked LMMR 2 (5-6) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Salvadorenas 2 was defeated by LMMR 2 in a tough game at home 58-63. LMMR 2 forced 26 Salvadorenas 2 turnovers. It was a great evening for Dominican swingman Yadira Polanco (177-1992) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Forward Yenniffer Pena (180) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five LMMR 2 players scored in double figures. Center Silvia Vega (176-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds and point guard Fatima Aviles (161-1999) scored 23 points. Salvadorenas 2's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. LMMR 2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Salvadorenas 2. LMMR 2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Salvadorenas 2 will play at home against the league's second-placed San Salvador and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
