NBB top team - Vivo/Franca (31-0) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Brasilia (7-23) 87-72. The game was mostly controlled by Vivo/Franca. Brasilia managed to win second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vivo/Franca forced 19 Brasilia turnovers. It was a great evening for international center Lucas Silva (208-1995) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. The former international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-1993) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Douglas Dos Santos (201-1998) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Gemadinha Sacco (183-1997) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vivo/Franca have an impressive series of 31 victories in a row. They maintain first place with 31-0 record. Brasilia lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 23 games lost. They share it with Rio Claro. Vivo/Franca are looking forward to face league's second-placed Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brasilia will have a break next round.
