Rather predictable result in San German where second ranked Atleticos (5-1) beat 4th ranked Cariduros (2-5) 94-88 on Thursday. They outrebounded Cariduros 43-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Atleticos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Norris Cole (188-1988, college: CSU) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (202-1989, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American forward Cameron Clark (201-1991, college: Oklahoma, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Dimencio Vaughn (196-1997, college: Rider) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Atleticos maintains second position with 5-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Quebradillas. Cariduros lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. Atleticos will meet Indios (#4) in the next round. Cariduros will play against Cangrejeros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
