The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated San Salvador (9-1) in Cojutepeque on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Cojute (7-4) 97-61. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of San Salvador. Cojute forced 30 San Salvador turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cojute have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-4 record having just one point less than leader San Salvador. San Salvador at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Santa Tecla. Cojute are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
