It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Penarol. The best player for the winners was Cuban swingman Marcos Chacon (194-2003, agency: Pro Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Dominican swingman Angel Reyes (201-2002) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Gimnasia CR's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
