The most exciting game of round 6 in the Libobasquet took place in Potosi. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Leones (1-5) to second ranked Pichincha (4-2) 73-70 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Rene Calvo (193-1993) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Eric Lovett (196, college: FIU) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Pichincha players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Ronald Arze (175-1993) who recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward James Edmond (205-1991, college: Lincoln, MO) added 15 points respectively. Pichincha have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-2 record having just one point less than leader CAN Oruro. Leones lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with five games lost.
