The game with biggest result difference took place in Puerto Montt. Local Puerto Montt (7-16) was outscored by eighth ranked Castro (11-10) 107-65. Castro shot 64.1 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Castro especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Ecuadorian center Bryan Carabali (212-1999) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 blocks. Venezuelan Luis Merida (190) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Castro players scored in double figures. Forward Sebastian Gomez (-2000) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Josh Morris (203-1993, college: UTPB) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Puerto Montt. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Castro maintains eighth place with 11-10 record. Puerto Montt lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Castro will play against bottom-ranked Temuco (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Puerto Montt will play against Quilicura (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
