Very expected game when 10th ranked Puerto Varas (11-12) were defeated at home by third ranked Ancud (16-5) 75-60. American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Rodrigo Gallegos (186-1991) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international Antonio Pinedo (195) answered with 24 points and the former international power forward Juan Fontena (196-1987) added 8 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Puerto Varas. Puerto Varas' coach Leonardo Monsalvez rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ancud have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 16-5 record having five points less than leader Concepcion. Puerto Varas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost.
