The most exciting game of round 14 in the BSN took place in Juana Diaz. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Leones (5-7) to third ranked Cariduros (7-7) 91-89 on Wednesday evening. Cariduros made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The former international forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-1993, college: Manhattan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Cariduros players scored in double figures. The former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) replied with 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and the former international Michael Rosario (190-1990, college: Florida) added 26 points in the effort for Leones. Leones' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cariduros moved-up to second place. Leones lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Cariduros are looking forward to face Indios (#4) in Mayaguez in the next round. Leones will play on the road against Gigantes in Carolina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
