UNIFACISA dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Corinthians' 32. They outrebounded Corinthians 34-23 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international Andre Bresolin (195-1987) nailed 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Davaunta Thomas (196-1995, college: UAFS) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Maozinha Pereira (200-2000) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Corinthians in the defeat. Five UNIFACISA and four Corinthians players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
