Very important is a road loss of second ranked Cariduros (8-9) against fifth ranked Cangrejeros (7-8) on Tuesday night. Visiting Cariduros were crushed by Cangrejeros in Santurce 104-73. Cangrejeros shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Alfonso Plummer (185-1997, college: Illinois) who scored 25 points. American point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Angel Garcia (209-1988, college: Memphis) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Manny Camper (201-1999, college: Siena) added 17 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cangrejeros moved-up to fourth place. Loser Cariduros dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Cangrejeros will meet league's leader Vaqueros in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Cariduros will play against Mets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
