Regular Season Round 19: Bayamon - Santurce 82-84

Important game to mention about took place in Bayamon. Fourth ranked Cangrejeros (8-8) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging leader Vaqueros (10-5) 84-82 on Thursday evening. Cangrejeros players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international Javier Mojica (189-1984, college: CCSU) answered with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Braxton Key (203-1997, college: Virginia) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Vaqueros. Four Cangrejeros and five Vaqueros players scored in double figures. Vaqueros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cangrejeros moved-up to third place. Defending champion Vaqueros still keep top position with five games lost. Cangrejeros will play against league's second-placed Gigantes in Carolina in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaqueros will play on the road against Grises in Humacao and hope to get back on the winning track.
