Top ranked Concepcion (22-3) recorded its third loss on the court of fourth ranked Puente Alto on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Puente Alto 83-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Concepcion. Puente Alto made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Joaquin Pino (-2000) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Marquez Letcher-Ellis (203-1997, college: Nevada) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. American forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) added 13 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Concepcion's coach Cipriano Nunez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Puente Alto maintains fourth position with 17-7 record. Defending champion Concepcion still keeps top place with three games lost. Puente Alto will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Concepcion will play on the road against Quilicura and is hoping to win this game.
