Rather predictable result in Quebradillas where first ranked Piratas (12-4) defeated 4th placed Indios (7-10) 102-88 on Tuesday. Piratas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Indios' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Brandon Knight (190-1991, college: Kentucky) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Hassan Whiteside (213-1989, college: Marshall) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Chaundee Brown Jr (196-1998, college: Michigan) who recorded 25 points and 8 rebounds and Aaron Harrison (198-1994, college: Kentucky, agency: Slash Sports) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas maintains first place with 12-4 record. Loser Indios keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Piratas will meet league's second-placed Capitanes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indios will play against Osos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
