The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Cariduros' (9-12) home loss to fourth ranked Cangrejeros (10-10) in Fajardo 101-109 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) accounted for 26 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American center Elijah Holman (208-1989, college: Detroit) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) added 29 points and 5 steals respectively for Cariduros in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cangrejeros moved-up to third place. Loser Cariduros keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Cangrejeros will meet Grises (#6) in the next round. Cariduros will play against Osos in Manati and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
