BSN top team - Vaqueros (13-5) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Osos (5-15) in Manati 104-83. Vaqueros dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Osos' 46. It was a great shooting night for Vaqueros especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Braxton Key (203-1997, college: Virginia) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Javier Gonzalez (185-1989, college: NC State) accounted for 14 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Gonzalez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 23 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Davon Jefferson (203-1986, college: USC) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Osos in the defeat. Five Vaqueros and four Osos players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vaqueros have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-5 record. Loser Osos keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Vaqueros will meet at home league's second-placed Gigantes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osos will play against Cariduros (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
