Sixth-ranked Grises (6-14) gave a tough game to third ranked Cangrejeros (11-10) in Humacao. The visitors from Santurce managed to secure only two-point victory 107-105. However their fans expected easier game. Cangrejeros shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) who scored that evening 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) supported him with 21 points and 7 assists. Even 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds by Dominican forward LJ Figueroa (198-1998, college: Oregon) did not help to save the game for Grises. American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) added 22 points and 9 assists. Five Cangrejeros and four Grises players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-10 record having just one point less than leader Quebradillas. Grises lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Cangrejeros will play against league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grises will have a break next round.
