The game between Top Four teams took place in Mayaguez. 4th ranked host Indios (9-11) lost to second ranked Atleticos (13-7) 85-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Indios. Atleticos shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Nate Mason (188-1995, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists. Naturalized American guard Eric Ayala (196-1999, college: Maryland) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Aaron Harrison (198-1994, college: Kentucky, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Jorge Pacheco-Ortiz (186-1998, college: Liberty) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Atleticos and four Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atleticos have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-7 record behind leader Quebradillas. Loser Indios keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. Atleticos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Indios will play against Capitanes (#3) in Arecibo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
