Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Caracas: Broncos (#3) and Llaneros (#8). Broncos (16-6) smashed visiting Llaneros (7-14) by 16 points 94-78. Broncos made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Erik McCree (202-1993, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Lance Thomas (206-1999, college: USA, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Dominican point guard Yerri Flores (188-1996, college: High School) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Broncos have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-6 record behind leader Gladiadores. Llaneros lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. Broncos will meet at home league's second-placed Trotamundos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Llaneros will play against Taurinos (#9) in La Asuncion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
