The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Mets' (11-10) home victory over 5th ranked Cariduros (9-14) 111-80 on Wednesday. Mets dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cariduros' 40. They outrebounded Cariduros 48-32 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mets looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Cariduros' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mets made 7 blocks. The former international point guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and the former international guard Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) chipped in 27 points and 4 assists. Five Mets players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) responded with 19 points and the other American import swingman Manny Camper (201-1999, college: Siena) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mets maintains fourth place with 11-10 record. Cariduros lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
