An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Antioquia. Top-ranked Colombian Indeportes faced one of their biggest challengers Ecuadorian UDJ. Host Indeportes (1-0) defeated guests from Quininde (0-1) 66-49. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Indeportes forced 19 UDJ turnovers and outrebounded them 47-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Yuliany Paz (195-2000) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Carolina Lopez (188-1998) contributed with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Lucia Garrido (180-1992) replied with 18 points and Marjorie Caicedo (180-1990) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for UDJ. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Colombian champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Bucaros. Defending Ecuadorian champion UDJ still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Dep.Berazategui. Indeportes will play against Dep.Berazategui (#3) in Buenos Aires in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UDJ will play at home against the league's leader Bucaros and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
