Not a big story in a game when Spanish Heat (0-6) was rolled over at home by Flyers (3-1) 97-69 on Sunday. Flyers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Spanish Heat's 28. Flyers forced 34 Spanish Heat turnovers and outrebounded them 56-37 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Selassie Brathwaite who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. The former international center Adonis Humphreys (198-1994, college: SW Illinois JC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Steven Matthew who recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Jesus Reyes added 19 points and 4 steals respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flyers will meet Stingerz in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spanish Heat will have a break next round.
